Watts Hospital, c. 1909. This photograph was taken shortly after the hospital completion. From left to right are patient pavilion (now Reynolds Hall), a breezeway, and the administration building (now Watts Hall). In the background over the breezeway are the turrets of an operating room and the smokestack of the power house.

The message on the first reverse reads, "I have been all through this building it is the most magnificent hospital in the South it cost half million dollars St. Thomas's don't compare with it, lovingly, Mother."

The message on the second reverse (c. 1915) reads, "Be sure and write me what you received Christmas as I am anxious to know. Think everybody at home has forsaken me haven't had a letter in nearly two weeks. Aren't the days beautiful? Too pretty to stay in doors. Lilian.."
